With a cold front coming in this weekend, everything is going to slowly begin changing into a fall pattern.
That means we’re getting pretty close to wader season, and it’s going to be time to pull out the Corky’s and Soft-Dine XL’s. Water temperatures will definitely drop, and the fish will be in a bit of a freak-out mode—not quite ready for the change.
Water levels will drop slightly, and the fish should still be feeding hard during the major and minor feeding periods.
Fish areas where there is plenty of bait, especially around grass lines and bars close to drop-offs. Those areas should be productive.
Besides slow-sinking baits, plastics will still be effective, along with swimbaits worked near the bottom of the water column.
Good luck, and get ready for the big change coming!
