Strong winds continue to challenge anglers, but the forecast is showing signs of moderation—which could mean even better fishing ahead on Baffin Bay!
This past week has been stellar for trophy trout. Many fish in the 5- to 9-pound range have been caught, making it one of the best stretches of the season for big bites.
Productive zones have included grass-lined shorelines holding large amounts of baitfish. These areas continue to produce the heaviest trout, many of which are likely still spawning.
Coastal Brew Baits’ 5” and 6” Darts in Pothole Pimp, Watermelon Red, and Nuke Juice have been excellent in slightly off-colored water and under darker skies. On sunny days with clearer conditions, opt for lighter, more natural colors for best results.
